Zelex Doll Review: Worth It as Your Second Doll, Not Your First

Straight up: Everything here is true to the best of my knowledge on the day I checked it. Prices, specs and stock change, so I can't guarantee every last detail. The store's listing at checkout is what counts. Fine print.

Buy a Zelex doll as your second doll, once you know you’re into this and you want silicone. That’s $1,000 for an SLE torso or $1,620 for a full body, shipping included. As a first doll, I would avoid it. The two torsos I checked weigh about 60 lb (27 kg). A full refund only lasts 8 hours after you pay, and only with PayPal.

Heads up, I make a few bucks if you buy through my links, but that doesn’t change what I tell you. I’ll still tell you which ones I would avoid.

Where are Zelex dolls made? Zelex’s address is in Suzhou, China, and it says it runs its own 3,000 m² (about 32,000 sq ft) production base. The silicone maker says it was founded in 2017, and sells direct and through resellers. This Zelex review is built from its listings, refund rules, warranty and buyer reviews, checked October 2026. None of it is hands-on.

Who a Zelex doll is for, and who should skip it

Zelex fits a guy who’s already owned a doll, wants silicone over TPE, and can carry 60 lb or more.

Get a Zelex if:

  • You’ve had a TPE doll and you’re done with the oil and the powder. My TPE vs silicone breakdown has the cost math on the upgrade.
  • You’re in the US and want it fast. Most SLE listings are US stock.
  • You want to swap parts later. Zelex sells bodies and heads separately.

Skip it if:

  • It’s your first doll. Find out if you’ll use one for $400 before you spend $1,000.
  • You need a torso under 51 lb (23 kg), the most I’d want anyone lifting by themselves. Both torsos I checked are about 60 lb. Zelex’s site filter shows 22 torsos in an “under 25 kg” (55 lb) band that I didn’t check one by one.
  • You might change your mind the next morning. The refund section below spells out why.

Zelex sex dolls by budget: the SLE lineup

The Zelex SLE line starts at $1,000 for a torso and $1,620 for a full-size, before options, with free shipping. SLE is Zelex’s own soft silicone, and SLE 3.0 is the current version.

Prices are as of October 2026, on the US store.

Doll Type Price Weight (doll / boxed) Height Material Skeleton Stock
84 cm J-cup torso, head ZXE201_1 Torso $1,000, free shipping 62.2 lb (28.2 kg) / not listed 33 in (84 cm) SLE silicone Not listed US
117 cm E-cup torso, head ZXE223_1 Torso $1,000, free shipping 59.7 lb (27.1 kg) / not listed 46 in (117 cm) SLE silicone Not listed US
SLE 3.0 full-size, seven bodies (no single pick: weights aren’t printed per listing) Full-size $1,620 (listed down from $1,800), free shipping 68-88 lb (31-40 kg) by Zelex’s weight filter / not listed 5’3” to 5’8” (160-172 cm) SLE 3.0 silicone EXP (Zelex’s jointed skeleton) Check each listing

$1,000: the SLE torsos

The SLE torsos in Zelex’s collection were all listed at $1,000, so the choice comes down to body shape. The torso collection showed 61, all in stock.

The 84 cm one is the curvy pick, with a 101 cm (40 in) hip. The 117 cm one is taller, with a 95 cm (37 in) hip, and 2.5 lb lighter.

If light matters most, compare with the TPE torsos in my torso doll guide, which start at 27.3 lb.

The torso listing opens with “Lonely Single? End Your Empty Nights!” I’m single by choice and my nights are fine. I just wanted the hip measurement.

$1,620 and up: SLE 3.0 full-size

The SLE 3.0 full-size bodies list at $1,620, and Zelex’s own weight filter puts them at 31-40 kg (68-88 lb). Those are filter bands, not weights printed on each listing. RealSexDoll prints 41 kg (90.6 lb) for its SLE 3.0 Eva, a touch above the band. Either way, plan on 70 to 90 lb.

Watch the price on the product page. The 164 cm listing I opened showed $2,000, because the Gel Butt 2.0 option, $380, was already ticked. Choose “No Gel Butt” and you’re back to $1,620.

Zelex also sells the SLE body alone for $1,500, plus $200 for the 3.0 version. That page says SLE 3.0 is “3-4 kg lighter across the entire lineup” than 2.0, about 6.6 to 8.8 lb. A single SLE head is $550.

What’s good about a Zelex doll, and what’s crap

Zelex is upfront about stock, warranty and even its own weak spots. It’s stingy with weight details and refunds.

Nothing independent backs up the silicone quality. Zelex’s tech changelog says SLE stands for “Safe, Less-vinyl, Elastomer”. That’s the maker’s description of its own material. I found no third-party tests. The on-site reviews are hosted by Zelex, and the owner threads below are one person’s doll at a time.

What’s good:

  • US stock is real. The US in-stock collection showed 97 dolls, 91 of them in stock. The listings say SLE products arrive 7 to 10 days after you order.
  • A one-year warranty. The quality page promises a free replacement for verified major skeleton or skin defects, and a free repair kit for minor ones. It also claims CE and “PTC” certification. That’s the maker’s claim, and I can’t check it.
  • Factory photos before it ships. The torso listing says you get unclothed, unedited photos and video of your actual doll, and the outer box carries no product information.

What’s crap:

  • Zelex says tearing will happen. The same changelog says “wear and tear or even tearing is inevitable after a period of use.” The warranty excludes “normal wear and tear”. That’s a hell of a gap on a $1,620 doll.
  • The neck had a known problem. Zelex also says it redesigned the neck joint in August 2023 “in response to problems with the neck joint.” Honest, at least.
  • Implanted hair takes about 45 days and ships from China, per the listing. Stick with a wig head (a bald head that wears a wig) if you want it fast.

Zelex’s 24-hour clock on refunds

Zelex runs on what I call the 24-hour clock: you can cancel up to 24 hours after paying, and you get 24 hours after delivery to report a problem. Only the first 8 hours get you a full refund, and only with PayPal.

Here’s the refund policy in plain English:

When What you get back
Cancel within 8 hours of paying Full refund with PayPal. Card or other payments lose a 10% processing fee.
Cancel 8-24 hours after paying 80% back, any payment method
After 24 hours No cancellation
Problem on arrival Email photos or video within 24 hours. Zelex picks a repair kit, a replacement or a refund.
Changed your mind after delivery Only if the doll is new, unused and unopened

So pay with PayPal. On a $1,000 torso, cancelling with a card in the first 8 hours still costs you $100. Wait until hour nine and it’s $200.

Custom dolls can’t be returned at all unless there’s a quality problem. That’s a crap deal if you mis-click an option, so check the order twice.

What buyers say on Zelex’s own site

Zelex has two reviews on Trustpilot, and none from the last 12 months. So the only real pile of reviews sits on Zelex’s own site: 4.99 stars from 114.

The Trustpilot page scores it 3.8, and says Zelex hasn’t invited customers recently. Two reviews don’t make a rating.

Most on-site reviews say “collected via store invitation”. Weigh them as the shop window they are. All three below are on the Zelex reviews page.

A buyer called TK, in May 2026, on buying just a body:

“I am very glad Zelex made it an option to only purchase the doll body.”

Muneca69, in December 2025, on a 109 cm torso with arms, a lighter build than the full-size:

“the Torso is easier to position and handle due to reduced weight.”

The one gripe I found came from an anonymous buyer in December 2025, about the wig that ships with the doll:

“wigs a bit too ‘fine’ and long”

What Zelex owners report, from three weeks to a year

Owners on Reddit report skin splitting at the thigh and armpit, mostly on SLE 2.0, and they split hard on how long SLE lasts. These are owner posts from 2024 to 2026, not lab tests, and each one is a single doll.

The repeat complaint is skin opening at a joint. In January 2026, u/dolfuka warned a buyer shopping SLE 2.0:

“There’s a common manufacturing defect in SLE 2.0 where her thigh skin splits wide open under normal use.”

In the same thread, u/MrNoChops said a Zelex 2.0 153b’s armpit “exploded and tore wide open within three weeks”. The vendor sent a replacement from Zelex’s 3.0 line, a 172e, and MrNoChops calls the difference “night and day”. Another 2.0 owner, u/GlobalExpression2753, says joint tears are common and finds the silicone too hard.

The harshest one is older. u/ParallelAsparagus called an SLE “the worst doll I have owned”, because the holes “don’t stretch much, so she started tearing immediately.” ParallelAsparagus blames silicone in general, not just SLE, and kept the head. The body went in the trash after a few months.

Now the conflict. u/cycleingking reported no dents at 2.5 months, and when asked about tearing in November 2024, about a year in, answered: “Nope .. no damage at all”. Same line, opposite luck.

How I’d buy around it:

  • Buy 3.0, not a cheap 2.0. One buyer in that thread saw SLE 2.0 for about $1,400 at a third-party vendor. Against Zelex’s $1,620 for 3.0, that $220 isn’t worth the split reports. I found no 3.0 split reports in these threads, but that’s one owner’s swap, not a test.
  • Get the replacement path in writing before you pay. The warranty skips “normal wear and tear”, and dolfuka says the splits happen “under normal use”. Dolfuka also thinks Zelex’s replacements may only come through The Doll Forum, so ask your seller who handles it. Film every joint when you unbox, and email photos the day a split shows.
  • Don’t force stiff joints. One owner says the limbs were stiff out of the box. That’s my caution, not proof it causes splits.
  • Go easy on the mouth. u/DegreeHorror9396 skips it on a new 172e, citing reports of torn mouth corners.

Space and storage reality

Every Zelex I could weigh is over my 51 lb line before you add the box. That’s about 60 lb for the torsos and 70 to 90 lb for a full-size.

My can-I-lift-it check takes the weight and your stairs and tells you if it’s a one-man job. For a full body, read my full-size doll breakdown on storage first.

No listing I opened gives a box size or box weight, so ask support for both before you pay.

How to clean a Zelex silicone doll

Rinse with warm water no hotter than 38°C (100°F), wash with a mild pH-neutral soap, pat dry, then powder. That’s from Zelex’s doll guide.

  • Water: warm, not hot. Use an irrigator (a squeeze bottle with a nozzle) for the vaginal and anal canals.
  • Soap: pH-neutral, like baby shampoo, or a silicone doll cleaner, but no alcohol, solvents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying: pat with a lint-free towel. Don’t rub, it can damage the surface. Air-dry in shade.
  • Powder: talc or cornstarch, no scented powders. Brush off the extra after 10-15 minutes. I’d use cornstarch.

Store facts

Store facts: Zelex · Type: maker-direct (brand’s own store) · Storefront: online only · Based in: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China · Ships from: US warehouse for “USA STOCK” listings, China for implanted-hair heads · Ships to: US (listings say “Tax included. Shipping free.”). Canada isn’t stated on any page I could open, though the store offers a CAD currency option · Canada: no Canadian warehouse listed

Payment: PayPal, or cards through Airwallex, per the refund policy. Most packages need an adult signature.

Canada: ask Zelex before you pay whether it ships to you and who pays duties. Neither is on the site. The 84 cm torso alone weighs 28.2 kg against Canada Post’s 30 kg parcel cap, so expect a courier. My Canadian customs guide covers what can land on you at the door.

Consider this before buying

Skip the $1,000 Zelex torso as a first doll, get Tantaly’s Britney 2.0. It’s $399.99 and 27.3 lb (12.4 kg). You save $600 and 32 to 35 lb, but you swap silicone for TPE, and Britney is 19.3 in (49 cm) tall against the Zelex’s 33 in. Tantaly’s returns aren’t generous either: 14 days, unopened only, a 15% fee, and no warranty period listed. You just have about $400 at risk instead of $1,000. My Tantaly review has the details.

Store facts: Tantaly · Type: maker-direct · Storefront: online only · Based in: US mailing address in Hebron, KY · Ships from: the US · Ships to: US free in 3-5 business days, per its shipping page · Canada: separate tantaly.ca store, free shipping in 5-7 business days, duties not mentioned

Skip the $2,000 sticker on a Zelex full-size, get the same body for $1,620. Untick Gel Butt 2.0 unless you know you want it.

Want Zelex silicone with duties paid? RealSexDoll lists the Zelex SLE 3.0 Eva at $1,600: 5’3” (160 cm), 90.6 lb (41 kg), full silicone, EXP skeleton, tagged US stock. The listing warns that most SLE heads ship from China, so confirm yours is in the US warehouse. Per its shipping page, delivery is free, with duties paid by the seller (DDP) for most countries.

Store facts: RealSexDoll · Type: authorized reseller (multi-brand) · Storefront: online only · Based in: unclear (San Francisco address with a Hong Kong postcode) · Ships from: US, EU and Canada warehouses · Ships to: worldwide, free, DDP for most countries · Canada: Canada stock, and where it can’t prepay duties it covers up to 50%, max $150

Pay with PayPal, and set an 8-hour timer on your phone the second you pay. Zelex’s clock is already running.

Cheers, Craig
