A sex doll head is a spare part, not a starter doll. Three head-only listings I checked in October 2026 ran $249 to $499 before options, and every one assumes you already own the body it bolts onto. No body with a neck fitting, no point buying the head.
Heads up, I make a few bucks if you buy through my links. Doesn’t change what I tell you, and I’ll tell you to skip stuff all day.
Don’t own a doll yet? Jump to the torso-with-head section. It covers buying a torso with a face already on, or a body that takes one later. Already got a doll and want a new face? Read on.
Spare heads: what you’re actually buying
A sex doll head is a face, a skull and a neck fitting, sold without a body. You screw or clip it onto a doll you already own to change her look, or to replace a head that’s worn out.
On the SexDollPartner head listings I checked, “DOLL HEAD ONLY” sits in a hot-pink banner across a full-body photo. One hard silicone head’s listing, $399 on sale as of October 2026, adds that it “does not come with a body as shown in the product pictures”, and that it’s “NOT AVAILABLE for Oral Sex”. Fair warning from the seller, in hot pink. Read the title twice anyway.
Who a spare head is for:
- Full-size owners who want a second look without a second full-size doll taking up the closet.
- Torso owners whose torso has a neck fitting. Plenty of torsos end at the shoulders with nothing to bolt to, so check before you shop.
- Anyone replacing a damaged head. It’s a lot cheaper than a new doll. My full-size doll rundown covers dolls where the head comes with the body.
Bolt first, face second: how the neck fitting works
Most heads attach with a threaded bolt in the neck, and M16 is the common size, but not the only one. Check the fitting before you fall for a face.
My Robot Doll’s installation guide says most dolls use “an internal neck bolt that threads into a receiver on the torso”. The same guide says M16 neck connectors come in two styles:
| Fitting style | How it locks | Tool |
|---|---|---|
| Set screw M16 | Bolt threads in, a small screw holds it | Small hex key, in the accessory bag |
| Quick connector M16 | Clicks in, releases with a push-button | Push-button tool |
M16 isn’t universal, though. The same store sells adaptors for M16 screw-on fittings and for M10 screw-on fittings at $9 each, plus an M16 ball-joint adaptor for $19, as of October 2026. Nobody sells a $9 adaptor for a problem that doesn’t exist.
M16 and M10 are metric bolt sizes, same naming as any hardware store. I’m an electrician. Half my job is making sure the fitting matches the box before anything gets tightened. This is the same deal. Find out what’s in the doll’s neck, then shop for that.
Within one brand, it can be easy. Starpery’s FAQ says “mostly you can put a head on different bodies”, except its 151 cm (4’11”) body, which it calls “slightly small” for some heads. It tells buyers to contact them to confirm.
Across brands, get it in writing. The My Robot Doll guide calls head connectors “very similar across manufacturers”. Very similar is exactly why those adaptors sell. Send the seller your body’s brand and model name, and get the fit confirmed in writing before you pay.
What to look for in a sex doll head
Five specs decide whether a head is worth it: the fitting, the material, the mouth, the weight and the size match. The face is the fun part, but it’s the last thing to check.
| Spec | What it means | What to check on the listing |
|---|---|---|
| Neck fitting | The bolt that joins head to body | M16 or M10, set screw or quick connector |
| Material | TPE, hard silicone or soft silicone | Matches your body’s material and skin tone option |
| Mouth | Some heads are built for oral, some aren’t | A listed mouth depth, or the words “oral” or “movable jaw” |
| Weight | How much she gains up top | Often not listed, which is crap. Ask. |
| Size match | Head-to-body proportion | The maker’s notes on which body heights or head sizes it suits |
TPE first. TPE is a soft, rubbery plastic. It costs less and feels softer than silicone, but it’s porous, so cleaning takes more care. A TPE sex doll head is the budget option: the cheapest I found was $249 with free US shipping, as of October 2026. It lists an oral length of 5.1 in (13 cm). For the full material fight, see my TPE vs silicone breakdown.
Hard silicone is firmer. Don’t assume a silicone sex doll head does oral. The $399 Snow S22 listing says in capitals that it’s “NOT AVAILABLE for Oral Sex”.
Soft silicone is the in-between. SexDollPartner pitches it as better-looking than TPE, with a mouth that can be heated and used for oral. Its soft silicone head is $499 with free shipping, as of October 2026. It lists a mouth depth of 5.9 in (15 cm). An auto-sucking add-on costs another $299 to $499 on that listing.
That add-on is a motor in a head. Read how it charges and how it’s cleaned before you pay, same as I’d read the label on anything I plug in.
Sex doll torso with head, or a body you add one to?
A torso sold with a head is the cheaper way in, but it’s heavy. A headless body with a neck fitting is lighter and lets you pick the face later. Here’s what the listings I checked in October 2026 say:
| Option | Price (USD) | Weight | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Irontech Julia, 90 cm (35 in) TPE torso with head | $879 | 55.1 lb (25 kg) “with head” | No skeleton by default (EVO is an option), shipping tab empty |
| SexDollPartner Aditi, 76 cm (30 in) torso with silicone head and arms | $699 sale ($859 regular) | 78.26 lb (35.5 kg) | Heavier than plenty of full-size dolls, no skeleton listed |
| Tantaly Emilia, 83 cm (33 in) silicone half-body, no head | $1,199.99 | 34 lb (listed as 15.8 kg) | No head in the box, so add $249 to $499 for one |
Julia is the one to look at if you want the face from day one. Of the two torsos with heads I found, it’s 23 lb lighter. Ask Irontech which warehouse it ships from before you pay, because the listing doesn’t say.
Skip Aditi unless you can carry 78 lb. That’s a torso that outweighs a 5’2” full-size doll at 70.55 lb on the same store’s spec sheet. Hell of a thing to call a torso.
Emilia is the “add a head” route. Tantaly’s listing says the body has an M16 screw interface for heads 50 to 53 cm (19.7 to 20.9 in) around the skull. That’s the fitting and the size match spelled out, which is exactly what most head listings leave out. Add a head and it’s still just under 40 lb, my estimate using the one head weight I’m going by, 4.4 to 5.5 lb. It costs more up front, though. Emilia plus the $249 TPE head is $1,448.99, against $879 for Julia.
My torso page has the headless torsos with full spec tables, and my Tantaly review covers the brand.

Where to buy a sex doll head (and why there’s no top-5 list)
None of the sex doll head only listings I checked in October 2026 prints the head’s weight, so I won’t rank them. I rank nothing without a weight, the fitting, the price with shipping and the warehouse. I’m not guessing with your money.
Here’s where the heads and parts are sold. SexDollPartner had the cheapest heads I found. My Robot Doll sells the adaptors. Starpery is the one to ask if you own a Starpery body.
Store facts: SexDollPartner · Type: reseller (multi-brand) · Storefront: online only · Based in: Hong Kong (registered) · Ships from: US, Canada, EU and UK warehouses · Ships to: US (free), Canada, EU, UK · Canada: has a Canadian warehouse. Its listings say in-stock orders are GST free, but I couldn’t confirm that for Canada. Ask before you order.

Store facts: RosemaryDoll · Type: authorized reseller (multi-brand, claims brand certificates) · Storefront: online only · Based in: China · Ships from: its factory in China, plus US, Canadian, EU and AU in-stock categories · Ships to: worldwide, free · Canada: its shipping notes say it covers up to 50% of Canadian duties, to a max of $150 USD.
Before you pay for any head, email the seller three questions: the fitting size and style, the head’s weight, and which bodies it fits by name. If they answer all three, you’ve got a part worth buying.
Weight and storage: what a spare head needs
The head weight I’m going by is 4.4 to 5.5 lb. It’s from a full-size silicone doll whose spec sheet lists the head at 2 to 2.5 kg (4.4 to 5.5 lb). That’s from a single listing, not a range across the market.
Store facts: RealSexDoll · Type: authorized reseller (multi-brand, claims brand certificates) · Storefront: online only · Based in: unclear (a San Francisco address with a Hong Kong postcode) · Ships from: US, EU and Canada warehouses · Ships to: worldwide, free, duties prepaid for most countries · Canada: Canada stock. Where it can’t prepay duties, it says it covers up to 50% of them, max $150
Two practical notes for the swap and the spare:
- Support it with both hands when you swap it. My Robot Doll’s guide says the same: never let the head drop, and “hand-tight is enough”. Over-tightening can strip the thread.
- Give the spare its own spot. Don’t leave it face-down in a box under other stuff. SexDollPartner’s care notes warn about crushing and deformation in storage. RosemaryDoll sells a head stand for $89 to $129 as of October 2026, which it says suits “most TPE/Silicone dolls with an M16 head connector”.
When the head’s off, the guide says to cover the neck opening on the body with a cloth. For closets and hiding spots, see where to keep a doll and her spare parts.
Cleaning a spare head
Keep the neck fitting dry, always. It’s metal. Irontech’s help centre says neck-joint rust is “usually caused by moisture exposure over time”, and SexDollPartner’s listings say the neck joint “can not be washed, otherwise, it will easily cause metal rust”.
- Take the head off first. It keeps water away from the neck.
- Face: SexDollPartner’s care notes say water and a mild detergent, then dry with a soft, absorbent towel.
- Mouth (oral heads): rinse with warm water, towel it dry, then let it air dry completely before it goes back on or into storage.
Wipe the neck opening on the body with a dry cloth, never a rinse. My full cleaning routine has the rest, including what never to use on TPE.
Consider this first
The mistake most guys make: falling for the face first and checking the fitting after the money’s gone.
Skip a head if the doll you own has no neck fitting. A headless torso that ends at the shoulders can’t take one. Get Julia, or a body like Emilia that lists its fitting.
Skip a cross-brand head without written confirmation. If the seller won’t confirm it fits your body’s model, by name, in writing, walk away. A $9 adaptor might save your ass, but only if the seller tells you which one.
Skip the auto-sucking add-on on your first spare. It comes in $299, $399 and $499 versions, which adds 60 to 100 percent to a $499 head. Buy the plain head, see if you even swap it often, then decide.
Skip any listing with no weight and no fitting size until the seller answers. Every head listing I quoted fails that test, which is bullshit for a part you bolt onto a doll you already paid good money for. If they can’t tell you, they don’t know their own product.
Get the head if you own a doll you like, its fitting is confirmed, and you want a new look for a few hundred bucks instead of a second doll and another 70 lb in the closet.
FAQs
How do you change a sex doll head?
To take it off, loosen the set screw first if yours has one, then support the body and twist the head slowly counter-clockwise. To put the new one on, line the bolt up straight before you turn it, then twist gently until it sits flush, holding the head with both hands. My Robot Doll’s guide says hand-tight is enough, and never force it if you feel resistance. Quick-connector necks click in and release with a push-button instead.
Can you get sex doll heads for headless dolls?
Only if the body has a neck fitting. A torso that stops at the shoulders has nothing to bolt a head to, so a spare head won’t help. If the body has a neck with a bolt or a receiver, check its size (M16 or M10, set screw or quick connector) and ask the seller to confirm the fit before you order. Tantaly’s Emilia, for one, lists M16 and a 50-53 cm (19.7-20.9 in) head size.
How much are sex doll replacement heads?
The three head-only listings I checked in October 2026 ran from $249 for a TPE head to $499 for a soft silicone head, all with free shipping. Options cost more. An auto-sucking mouth adds $299 to $499 on one listing. Add $89 to $129 if you want a stand, and $9 to $19 for an adaptor if your fitting doesn’t match.
How do you stop a doll’s head flopping around?
A little movement is normal, since it lets you pose her. If the head is properly wobbly, the bolt probably didn’t fully catch the thread. My Robot Doll’s guide says to take the head off, realign the bolt so it goes in straight, and try again slowly. Don’t crank it tighter to fix a crooked thread. You’ll strip it.
Measure the bolt, then pick the face. Does any head fit any doll? No, bud. Ask the seller.
Cheers, Craig
